Good to recognise how mise-en scene (what's being represented in the scene) and is being used here.
ReplyDeleteHowever, what do you mean by 'over the top' though? This might be common sense to you - but you need to see it from MANY audience perspectives. Do you think the film-makers are trying to construct a negative or positive representation of these people? Why?
EBI: try using some of this language when analysing - and make a judgement; do you think this representation is fair? What kind of audience would? What kind of audience wouldn't? Always try to write in full sentences to practice making clear responses for the exam.
